Although season two of the The Punisher released last month, but rumors about canceling already started to spread like mushrooms after the rain.
Now we know, according to Netflix the show won’t return for season 3.
Netflix said in a statement to LADbible: “Marvel’s The Punisher will not return for a third season on Netflix. Showrunner Steve Lightfoot, the terrific crew, and exceptional cast including star Jon Bernthal, delivered an acclaimed and compelling series for fans, and we are proud to showcase their work on Netflix for years to come.”
Apparently, The Punisher won’t be the only show that canceled. It seems like Marvel’s Jessica Jones won’t return after its third season. As Netflix stated – “In addition, in reviewing our Marvel programming, we have decided that the upcoming third season will also be the final season for Marvel’s Jessica Jones”.
Frank Castle, The Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal posted on Instagram a suspicious message – That according to fans may confirms the cancellation of the show.
Jon posted: “To all who have served. All who know loss. All who love and understand Frank and his pain. It has been an honour to walk in his boots. I’m endlessly grateful to the comic fans and the men and women of the Armed Services and law enforcement community who Frank means so much to. Thank you to the USMC and all the wonderful soldiers who trained me. Go hard. Be safe.”
As expected – lots of fans are sure this is a goodbye from their loved Marvel Hero and commented on the post.
