In a late-night Twitter rant on Sunday, US President Donald Trump attacked late-night talk show host Jimmy Fallon after the comedian’s admission to ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ that he feels regret over tussling Mr. Trump’s hair in a pre-election interview.
Fallon further said that he was “devastated” by the “gang mentality” of his audience, as he lost more than a fifth of his audience after interviewing Mr. Trump.
In response, Mr. Trump tweeted: “@jimmyfallon is now whimpering to all that he did the famous ‘hair show’ with me (where he seriously messed up my hair), & that he would have now done it differently because it is said to have “humanized” me – he is taking heat.
“He called & said “monster ratings.” Be a man Jimmy!”

Following the criticism leveled at him by Mr. Trump, Fallon responded by saying he will be making a donation to the Refugee And Immigrant Centre For Education And Legal Services in the name of the president.
In honor of the President’s tweet I’ll be making a donation to RAICES in his name.

Mr. Fallon’s comments about his interview with Mr. Trump have come at a time when the President is under intense criticism regarding his administration’s immigration policy which separated children from their parents at the US border.
As for Mr. Fallon’s interview of the then-candidate Trump, the late-night talk show host has admitted that he made a mistake back then.
Also, according to Fallon, if he’s given the chance to interview Mr. Trump again, he would “do it differently”.
So vicious was the response to that interview that ever to this day, Fallon is falling behind Colbert into weekly ratings.
Many view it as a vindication of Colbert’s stance of attacking Trump administration’s questionable politics at a time when Fallon is light on politics.
