Fans are freaking out after Pokémon Company posted a video showing Venusaur as a frog

Many Pokémon fans are shocked to find out, after 22 years, that Venusaur, one of the original Pokémon, moves like a frog with its very shapely legs.

Recently Pokémon Company posted a video showing the Pokémon Venusaur following the player and hopping along like a frog.

People who previously thought Venusaur walked like most four-legged animals expressed their confusing and overwhelming emotions on Twitter soon after, mostly focusing on how long.

People who previously thought Venusaur walked like most four-legged animals twitted about their confusing.

Mostly focusing on how long Venusaur’s back legs actually are because unlike most frogs, Venusaurs tend to weigh around 220 pounds, which means their legs are not only surprisingly long but astoundingly powerful.

Others fans pointed out that it’s an old news, with one Twitter user pointing out that this same walking animation was used in the 1998 Nintendo 64 game Pokémon Stadium.

Since the first Pokémon days, Venusaur and its evolutionary predecessors (Bulbasaur and Ivysaur) have resembled a sort of hybrid between toads and dinosaurs, with one major difference – the plants they carry on their backs.
