Dormer, the 36-years-old actress, gained international attention with her performance of Margaery Tyrell on the HBO series Game of Thrones (2012–2016), for which she was nominated for two Screen Actors Guild Awards (2014–2015).
Natalie Dormer’s Game of Thrones days have been over for some time, but she’s just as invested in the final season as the rest of us. “I’m excited to see the next season. I’m on the edge of my seat like everybody else,” she told The Hollywood Reporter In Studio.
Dormer doesn’t know everything that happens in the last season of Game of Thrones, though. Dormer swears she is still loyal to Sansa Stark, thanks to time spent with actor Sophie Turner on set and has no love for the Queen Cersei Lannister. The one thing Dormer is sure of is that Cersei Lannister needs to go.
LET’S GO TEAM STARK!
Despite Dormer is not part of the next season any longer, She claims she’s been kept abreast of the most exciting developments in Season 8. Dormer not entirely sure of how it gets there, but apparently she knows how the series ends. “Oh, I know who ends up on the Iron Throne,” Dormer says, “But I don’t know how it happens.” It will likely involve a lot of bloodsheds, as is a tradition on the show. Dormer also said: “I do know that they’ve been shooting a lot of battle sequences, so there’s been a lot of action, But of course, they’re going to, it’s the big old fight, right? It’s the fight to the finish.” That’s as much as she’s willing to say for now.
Don’t worry from spoiler alert- the shows reportedly filming so many different endings, it’s possible that even Dormer remains in the dark.
