His frustration is now revealed to the world after Rickman’s collection of letters were released for auction a few days ago.

Alan Rickman was frustrated with the way his ‘’Severus Snape’’ role was portrayed in the Harry Potter series, his personal letter collection has now revealed.
He played the role of a moody professor in the series who was never able to come on good terms with Harry Potter.
One letter, which is written by producer David Heyman, sheds light on the frustration Rickman had about his role in the series.
“Thank you for making HP2 a success.” the letter reads. “I know, at times, you are frustrated but please know that you are an integral part of the films. And you are brilliant.”
There is another letter which Rickman penned himself in 2009 while he was working on ‘’The Half-Blood Prince’’. Named ‘’Inside Snape’s Head’’, the letter brilliantly captures the frustration which Rickman had about his role and how Director Yates managed the storyline of his character in the movie.
“It’s as if David Yates has decided that this is not important in the scheme of things i.e. teen audience appeal,” Rickman noted.
The letters which were under Rickman’s possession before his death in 2016 also include one from JK Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, in which she thanks Rickman for ‘’doing justice to my most complex character’’.
In addition to containing letters from the team of Harry Potter, Rickman’s collection also includes letters from Bill Clinton, Prince Charles, and Tony Blair.
Other items in his collection – which is set to be auctioned off at the ABA Rare Book Festival in London – include Rickman’s copy of ‘’Die Hard’’ script, the 1988 movie in which Rickman played the role of villain ‘’Hans Gruber’’.
Actor Neil Pearson, who has brought together the worlds, told Daily Mirror that Rickman’s collection consists of 35 boxes. And that it contains the script of ‘’Truly Madly Deeply’’ and ‘’Robin Hood Prince of Thieves’’.
The collection is valued at £950,000.
